CITY OF PLEASANTC <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-240 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION AGREEING TO A REDUCTION IN ZONE 7 WATER <br /> RATES FOR THE COMING YEAR 1977 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Zone 7 Manager, Mr. Mun J. Mar, sent a letter to the <br /> City Manager of the City of Pleasanton dated October 12, <br /> 1976 advising the City Manager that the water rate for <br /> calendar year 1977 would be $139 per acre foot as com- <br /> puted by Zone 7 Resolution No. 732 dated December 18, <br /> 1974; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said rate represents an approximate $19 per acre foot <br /> increase over the current rate being paid by the City of <br /> Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Zone 7 Board at a Special Meeting Of October 6, 1976 <br /> decided that in the coming months they would re-examine <br /> their method of setting rates and charges to insure <br /> sufficient income to meet all expenses in order that <br /> under charges and over charges to customers could be <br /> minimized; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board also indicated that it would forego the $19 per <br /> acre foot increase in water rates for calendar year 1977 <br /> if each and every treated water retailing customer of <br /> a zone concurs in the proposed Zone Board action to set <br /> the 1977 treated water rate at the same level as the <br /> 1976 rate; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this matter was brought to the City Council at its meeting <br /> <br /> of October 26, 1976 and considered by the City Council. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City Council concurs with the action of the Zone 7 <br /> Board's intention to forego the $19 per acre foot in- <br /> crease in water rates for the calendar year 1977 thus <br /> <br /> retaining the same treated water rate as the 1976 rate. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Authorizes the Mayor to execute an amendment to the <br /> City's contract with Zone 7 to reflect the action set <br /> forth in Section One above. <br /> <br /> -1- <br /> <br /> <br />
