CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 76-238 A RESOLUTION INITIATING A ZONING CHANGE FOR PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS AND REQUESTING THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO CONSIDER A PROPOSED CHANGE TO SAID PARKING REQUIREMENTS WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of October 26, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, 1976 considered a report from the Director of Planning dated October 18, 1976 pertaining to parking requirements for multiple residential developments; and said report indicated a need to increase the parking requirements for multiple family dwelling units con- taining three or more bedrooms and to provide greater visitor parking; and Section 2-12.04b of Article 29, Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton authorizes the City Council to initiated changes in zoning regula- tions; and the City Council after deliberation determined that it would be advantageous to the City to change its parking requirements for multiple residential developments. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Requests the Planning Commission to consider a pro- posed change to the parking requirements for multiple family dwelling units containing three or more bedrooms and to increase the visitor parking in the ratio of one space for each seven units regardless of size. Section 2. Directs the City Attorney's office in conjunction with the Director of Planning to prepare necessary amendments to the Ordinance Code in order to effectuate the above recommendation and to transmit said recommendation to the Planning Commission at the Staff's earliest conven- ience. -t-
