CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-238 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION INITIATING A ZONING CHANGE FOR PARKING <br />REQUIREMENTS FOR MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS <br />AND REQUESTING THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO CONSIDER <br />A PROPOSED CHANGE TO SAID PARKING REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of October 26, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> 1976 <br />considered a report from the Director of Planning dated <br />October 18, 1976 pertaining to parking requirements for <br />multiple residential developments; and <br />said report indicated a need to increase the parking <br />requirements for multiple family dwelling units con- <br />taining three or more bedrooms and to provide greater <br />visitor parking; and <br /> <br />Section 2-12.04b of Article 29, Chapter 2, Title II of <br />the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton authorizes <br />the City Council to initiated changes in zoning regula- <br />tions; and <br />the City Council after deliberation determined that it <br />would be advantageous to the City to change its parking <br />requirements for multiple residential developments. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Requests the Planning Commission to consider a pro- <br /> posed change to the parking requirements for multiple <br /> family dwelling units containing three or more bedrooms <br /> and to increase the visitor parking in the ratio of one <br /> space for each seven units regardless of size. <br /> <br />Section 2. Directs the City Attorney's office in conjunction with <br /> the Director of Planning to prepare necessary amendments <br /> to the Ordinance Code in order to effectuate the above <br /> recommendation and to transmit said recommendation to <br /> the Planning Commission at the Staff's earliest conven- <br /> ience. <br /> <br />-t- <br /> <br /> <br />
