CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 76-229 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE LIVERMORE- AMADOR VALLEY WATER MANAGEMENT AGENCY FOR INDUSTRIAL CAPACITY FOR THE CITY OF PLEASANTON WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is a participating member in the Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management Agency (LAVWMA), a joint exercise of powers agency, created for the purpose of establishing a project for the disposal of treated effluent in the Livermore-Amador Valley; and WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton and the City of Livermore have indicated to the LAVWMA Board of Directors the desire to include in the basic pipe line project of 15.62 million gallons per day additional capacity for industrial purposes; and WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is interested in acquiring additional capacity in the project pipe line to allow 2.22 million gallons per day for the purpose of serving industrial and commercial property indicated for development on the City of Pleasanton's General Plan; and WHEREAS, a draft agreement was presented to the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at their meeting of October ll, 1976 for their review and consideration; and WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of October 11, 1976 reviewed and deliberated upon said contract. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approves the execution by the Mayor of an agreement with the Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management Agency to acquire for the City of Pleasanton additional capacity in the Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management Agency pipe line, said additional capacity should be used for industrial and commercial purposes. Said agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incor- porated herein by reference. IIIIIIIIIII
