CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 76-228 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENTS T0 THE LIVER- MORE AMADOR VALLEY WATER MANAGEMENT AGENCY JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT WHEREAS, WHEREAS, on June 18, 1974, the City of Pleasanton, City of Livermore and the Valley Community Services Dis- trict executed a Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement creating the Livermore-Amador Valley Water Manage- ment Agency; and said Agency was created for the purposes of devising a plan to handle the disposal of treated effluent in the Livermore-Amador Valley; and WHEREAS, since its inception LAVWMA has hired engineers that have undertaken studies with respect to the forma- tion and funding of a disposal project; and WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, the original Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement is in need of revision in order to bring it into conformance with the events which have transpired since the origi- nal adoption of said agreement; and the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at its meet- ing of October 11, 1976 received a report from the City Attorney to the City Managers of the entities composing LAVWMA dated September 24, 1976 which transmitted a third draft of the modifications to the LAVWMA Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement which were approved in concept by the LAVWMA Board of Directors at their meet- ing of September 23, 1976; and the City Council of the City of Pleasanton considered said proposed modifications together with comments from the general public with respect to said modifi- cations. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF pLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approves the modification to the Livermore-Amador Valley Water Mangement Agency's Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement, as set forth in the third draft of said agreement which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by refercne.
