CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF AL~4EDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-227 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF SINGLE <br />FAMILY DWELLING UNIT EQUIVALENT SEWER CONNECTIONS <br />FOR CHANGES IN THE USE OF COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL <br />FACILITIES WITH EXISTING SEWER CONNECTIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at its <br />meeting of October 11, 1976 received a semiannual <br />report regarding the allocation of remaining ca- <br />pacity of the Sunol Sewer Treatment Plant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Section 2 (Allocation of Permits), Subsection c <br />(Change of Use) indicated that the City had received <br />requests for additional sewer capacity for downtown <br />commercial buildings due to occupancy by commercial <br />uses which require additional sewer capacity at the <br />Sunol Sewage Treatment Plant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the staff's report recommended that such new uses <br />with additional capacity should be exempt from the <br />provisions of Resolution No. 76-83 which limits the <br />number of additional connections at the Sunol Sewage <br />Treatment Plant to 140 single family dwelling unit <br />equivalent sewer connections per year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council deliberated upon this request. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />section 1. Exempts from the provisions of Resolution No. 76-83 <br /> the allocation of single family dwelling unit equiva- <br /> lent sewer connections to existing commercial and in- <br /> dustrial facilities which require less than five (5) <br /> additional sewer connection equivalents. Any commer- <br /> cial and/or industrial use which locates within an <br /> existing commercial or industrial building with an <br /> existing sewer connection which would require five <br /> (5) or more single family dwelling unit equivalent <br /> sewer connections must obtain prior City Council ap- <br /> proval pursuant to the allocation program established <br /> by Resolution No. 76-83 before said commercial or in- <br /> dustrial use may locate in said pre-existing commercial <br /> or industrial building. <br /> <br />Section 2. The provisions of Section 1 of this resolution do <br /> not waive the requirement that any commercial and/or <br /> <br /> <br />
