WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />NOW, <br /> <br />RESOLVE <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />I Section <br /> <br /> CITY OF pLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 76-225 <br /> <br />RE: REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR <br /> HIGHLAND OAKS SEWER IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT <br /> NO. 76-6 TO MOUNTAIN CONSTRUCTION, INC. <br />the City prepared plans and specifications for the <br />Highland Oaks Sewer Improvements, project No. 76-6; <br />and <br />pursuant to Government Code ~37901, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Department advertised for <br /> bids regarding this project; and <br /> the bid of Mountain Construction, Inc., in the amount <br /> of $52,525.00, was the lowest responsible bid; and <br /> said bid exceeded $50,000.00, the amount originally <br /> budgeted for this project, and the total project cost <br /> including the fees of the consultant, Brown and <br /> Caldwell for the study and the design is now known <br /> to be $62,102.54, it will be necessary to allocate an <br /> additional $12,200.00 to this project from the sewer <br /> improvement fund in order to complete this required <br /> <br /> project. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Mountain Construction, Inc., in the <br /> amount of $52,525.00 for the construction of the High- <br /> land Oaks Sewer Improvements, project No. 76-6, is <br /> hereby accepted by City Council as the lowest respon- <br /> sible bid and the appropriate City officers are author- <br /> ized to enter into a contract with Mountain Construction, <br /> Inc., for completion of said improvements. <br /> 2. The allocation of an additional $12,200.00 to this <br /> project from the sewer improvement fund is hereby ap- <br /> <br />proved. <br /> <br /> <br />
