CITy OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 76-246 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO AMEND ARTICLE 20 (HOME OCCUPATIONS), CHAPTER 2 (ZONING), TITLE II (ZONING AND DEVELOPMENT), OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RELATING TO HOME OCCUPATIONS WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its meeting of October 13, 1976 approved a draft ordinance which would change in its entirety Article 20 of the Zoning Code dealing with home occupations; and WHEREAS, this matter was brought to the City Council on November 1976 for Council's consideration; and WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held at which time any person interested in this particular matter was offered the opportunity to make a presentation to the City Council; and WHEREAS, at the close of the Public Hearing the City Council deliberated on the proposed amendment to Article 20 of the Zoning Code; and WHEREAS, the City Council indicated that it was interested in allowing persons producing handmade arts and crafts objects to do so without having to pay $15.00 home occupation fee; and WHEREAS, the City Council was advised by the City Attorney that any change to the proposed ordinance would require referral back to the Planning Commission for a report; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council concurs with the Planning Commission that a proposed revision in its entirety to Article 20, Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is desirable, however, the City Council does not believe that persons involved in home occupation of producing arts and crafts should be required to pay a $15.00 home occupation fee.
