CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-277 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION INITIATING AN ORDINANCE A~ENDMENT TO ALLOW <br /> TRADE SCHOOLS iN THE I-G (GENERAL INDUSTRIAL) DISTRICT <br /> AS CONDITIONAL USES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission by Resolution No. 1462 recom-- <br /> mended to the City Council an amendment to Section <br /> 2-7.21t Article 9, Chapter 2, Title iI of the Ordinance <br /> Code of the City of Pleasanton to allow churches and <br /> other religious institutions and private schools as <br /> conditional uses in the I-G (General in~ustrial) District; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council by Resolution No. 76--276 denied the <br /> application for this proposed amendment to Section 2-7.21 <br /> on the basis that Council did not wish to have churches <br /> <br /> and religious institutions in the I-G District; and <br /> <br />WHE~EASt the City Council recognizes that it may be appropriate <br /> an~?i compatible to have trade schools as a conditional <br /> use in the I-G (General Industrial) District; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Pursuant to Section 2-12.04~ Article 29, Chapter 2~ <br /> Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasan~on <br /> the City Council initiates a zoning study by the <br /> <br /> Planning Division of the Department of Community Develop- <br /> ment and the Planning Commission to determine if it <br /> would be appropriate to amend Section 2-7.21, Article 9, <br /> Chapter 2, Title iI of the Ordinance Code of the City <br /> of Pleasanton to allow trade schools as a conditionally <br /> <br /> per~itted ~se in hi~e I-G (General Industrial) District. <br /> <br /> Section 2. A cooy of this resolution shall be transmitted to <br /> the Planning Conm~ission and Planning Division for <br /> action and re,port back to the City Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
