CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-266 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPEAL OF BLAZE SIGNS TO A <br /> DECISION OF THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD TO ALLOW ONLY ONE <br /> SIGN TO IDENTIFY THE SEARS AND ROEBUCK STORE LOCATED <br /> AT 1991 SANTA RITA ROAD <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission approved on October 13, 1976 <br /> <br /> a comprehensive overall signing program for the Mission <br /> Plaza Shopping Center; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, under said signing program Sears Roebuck and Company <br /> applied for three separate signs to identify its business <br /> <br /> to be located in Mission Plaza Shopping Center; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Design Review Board approved only one sign for <br /> Sears Roebuck and Company consisting of individual <br /> channel letters to be installed on the porch beam in <br /> front of the building; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Blaze Custom Signs on behalf of Sears Roebuck and Company <br /> appealed the decision of the Design Review Board to the <br /> City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of November 22, 1976 <br /> held a public hearing on this appeal by Blaze Custom <br /> <br /> Signs to the Design Review Board's Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, during the course of this public hearing representatives <br /> of Blaze Custom Signs and any member of the public was <br /> allowed the opportunity to present information to the <br /> City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, subsequent to the close of the public hearing the City <br /> Council deliberated on this item considering the testi- <br /> mony provided during the course of the public hearing <br /> as well as the staff report of November 17, 1976 to- <br /> gether with the elevations attached thereto. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1.
