CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 77-16 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE CITIZENS COMMITTEE FOR THE <br />GROWTH ){ANAGEMENT PLAN AND APPROVING CHARGES FOR COMMITTEE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an ad-hoc committee is needed to work with the City staff to develop a <br /> growth management program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council reviewed the recommended list of appointees to said committee; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after interview, the following persons are recommended to the Citizens <br />Committee for the Growth Management Plan: Jim Hertl, Ann RathJen, Jim <br />Trimingham, and Brian Hoyt; City Council Liaison members Joyce LeClaire <br />and Frank Brandes, Jr.; Park and Recreation Commission Liaison Howard <br />Garrigan; Planning Conmission Liaison Walter Wood; Human Resources <br />Liaison Sharon Kosch; and representatives to be appointed from the Home <br />Building Industry and the Housing Authority; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Councilmember LeClaire is appointed as Chairperson of the Committee. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The Committee members recommended are hereby confirmed. <br /> <br />Section 2. The functions of the Citizens Committee for the Growth Management Plan <br /> are as follows: <br /> <br />a. Investigate the growth management issues and possible program <br /> alternatives available to Pleasanton. <br /> <br />b. Initiate ideas/topics for staff investigation. <br /> <br />Recommend to the Planning Commission and the City Council a <br />complete growth management program, including organizational <br />structure and type of management system. <br /> <br />Section 3.
