CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-15 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO RETAIN <br /> COUNSEL FOR OFFICERS BILL YATE~AND FRED CRABTREE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at its <br /> meeting of January 3, 1977 received a report from the <br /> City Attorney's Office with respect to litigation against <br /> Officers William Yates and Fred Crabtree in the case of <br /> Lopez vs. City of Pleasanton, et al; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of January 3, 1977 <br /> authorized by Resolution No. 77-5 the City to investigate <br /> the acquisition of legal counsel for Officers Yates and <br /> Crabtree; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Attorney at the Council meeting of January 10, <br /> 1977 provided an oral report to the City Council <br /> regarding the retention of legal counsel for Officers <br /> Yates and Crabtree. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorizes the City Attorney to retain for Officers <br /> William Yates and Fred Crabtre~ Mr. Jack Noonan provided <br /> this individual is acceptable to Officers William Yates <br /> and Fred Crabtree. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Attorney is authorized to obtain additional <br /> legal counsel for Officers William Yates and Fred <br /> Crabtree should Mr. Noonan prove unacceptable to the <br /> Officers. <br /> <br /> <br />
