CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 77-32 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PLEASANTON'S SHAM OF LOCAL FUNDS FOR THE LIVERMORE-AMADOR VALLEY WATER MANAGEMENT AGENCY STEP II PROGRA~ WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is a member of the Livermore- Amador Valley Water Management Agency formed by Joint Powers Agreement dated January t6, 1974; and WHEREAS, LAVWMAwaS established for the purpose of creating a waste water project to remove treated effluent from the Livermore-Amador Valley; and WHEREAS, the LAVWMA project is receiving Federal and State grants as to 87-1/2% of the cost for planning, designing and constructing a proposed project; and WHEREAS, the local entities are required to provide 12-1/2% of the work to be performed which is grant fundable; and WHEREAS, pursuant to regulations covering grant monies it is necessary for the local entities to indicate that they have necessary local funding for the local share of the Step II gant to be given by the Federal and State authori- ties; and WHEREAS, the Joint Powers Agreement establishes percentages for allocating the dollar figures for providing the local funds between the cities of Livermore and Pleasanton and the Valley Community Services District. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Allocates from the City's operating fund, identified as the Sewer Service Charge and Drainage Fund, an amount necessary to pay the City of Pleasanton's proportionate share of the local funds necessary for the Livermore- Amador Valley Water Management Agency Step II grant. Said appropriation is anticipated to be approximately $30,000. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. III -1-
