CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 77-31 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ALAN B. CAMPBELL AS ACTING CITY MANAGER AND ACTING CITY CLERK EFFECTIVE MARCH 1, 1977 WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, On January 29, 1977 William H. Edgar, City Manager Of the City of Pleasanton, advised the City Council that he was resigning his post as City Manager in order to take the position of Assistant City Manager in the City of Sacramento; and the City Council met in special session on February 1, 1977 and accepted the resignation of William H. Edgar as City Manager; and Alan B. Campbell is the Assistant City Manager for the City of Pleasanton; and the City Council is desirous of making Mr. Campbell the acting City Manager effective March 1, 1977; and the position of City Clerk is also vacant as a result of the resignation of William H. Edgar; and the City Council is desirous of insuring that there is continuity between the functions of the City Manager and the City Clerk. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Appoints Alan B. Campbell as acting City Manager commencing on March 1, 1977 and continuing in that position until a new City Manager has been employed by and begins work with the City of Pleasanton. Section 2. Appoints Alan B. Campbell as acting City Clerk commencing on March 1, 1977 until such time as a new City Clerk is designated. Section 3. Effective March 1, 1977 Alan B. Campbell shall be compensated as acting City Manager at the same rate of pay as the present City Manager said salary to continue until the new City Manager begins work with the City of Pleasanton.
