CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-29 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION DENYING THE CLAIM OF EDWARD ROBERT <br /> PETERSON, JR. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on December 22, 1976 the City Attorney's office re- <br /> ceived a claim from Edward Robert Peterson, Jr. <br /> through his attorney relating to injuries sustained <br /> <br />in an automobile accident on September 3, 1976; and <br />WHEREAS, said claim was filed within the statutory time period <br /> <br /> established in Government Code ~911.2; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council pursuant to Government Code S911.6 <br /> has forty-five (45) days within which to act upon <br /> the granting or denial of said claim; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of January 24, t977, <br /> considered a report from the City Attorney, dated <br /> January 12, 1977 to which was attached the claim of <br /> Edward Robert Peterson, Jr. and Mr. Peterson's at- <br /> torney. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Denies the claim of Edward Robert Peterson, Jr. <br /> with respect to injuries sustained on September 3, <br /> 1976. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorizes the City Attorney to advise Mr. Peterson, <br /> Jr. and his attorney of the City Council's action and <br /> authorizes the City Attorney to undertake necessary <br /> action in conjunction with the City's insurance <br /> carrier which the City Attorney deems appropriate in <br /> <br /> <br />
