CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-24 <br /> <br />A'RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONSULTANTS <br />SERVICES CONTRACT WITH TJKM FOR TRAFFIC S!GNAL~k <br />ON D~IN STREET AT NEAL AND RAY STREETS ~D ON <br />VALLEY AVENUE AND SANTA RITA ROAD <br /> <br />WIiEi~jEAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of January 24, i977, <br />received a report from the Director of Engineering! Ser- <br />vices of January 19, 1977 to which were aLtached proposals <br />from the consulting firm of TJKM pertaining ~,~ hhe <br />installation of traffic signals on Main Streeh at Neal <br />Street and Ray Street and for the establishment of a <br />traffic signal at Santa Rita Road and Valley Avenue; and <br /> <br />said proposals established the fees of $8;~00 <br />work to be performed in conjunction with the ~!ain Street <br />lights and $7,300 as the consultant fee for the Santa <br />Rita Road and Valley Avenue lights; and <br /> <br />P'fHEi~AS ~ <br /> <br />the Director of Engineering Services indicate~:[to hhe <br />City Council that TJKM has been involved in the perform-- <br />ance of other traffic signal installations in the City <br />of Pleasanton and is well pleased with the performance of <br />their work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council deliberated upon the infornation provided <br /> by the Director of Engineering Services,~ <br /> <br /> THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />~ZSOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorizes the retention of the consulting firm of <br /> TJKM for the design and inspection of the traffic signal <br /> installations on Main Street at Neal Street and Ray Stree~ <br /> including aerial photographs and artist's renderings of <br /> the proposed traffic signals for City Council review fo~ <br /> a fee not to exceed $8,800; and for the design and inspec- <br /> tion of the traffic signal installation at Sant~ Riga <br /> Road and Valley Avenue for a fee not to exceed $7~390. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorizes the City Attorney to prepare the necessary <br /> contracts for the retention of TJKM. <br /> <br />Section 3. Authorizes the Mayor to execute on behalf of the City <br /> of Pleasanton consultation services agreement for the <br /> Main Street traffic signals and Santa Rita and Valley <br /> Avenue traffic signals after the same has been approve~ <br /> as to form by the City Attorney. <br /> <br /> <br />
