CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-56 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PLACING OF A CROSSING <br />GUARD AT THE INTERSECTION OF KOTTINGER AND MIRADOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of February 28, 1977, <br />received a report from the Assistant City Manager dated <br />February 22, 1977, relating to the establishment of a <br />crossing guard for the protection of school children at <br />the intersection of Kottinger and Miradot Drives; and <br /> <br />the City Council also received a copy of a detailed re- <br />port, dated December 6, 1976, from the Traffic Engineer to <br />the City Manager relating to establishing a crossing <br />guard at this intersection; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />testimony both oral and written, including letters from <br />various interested citizens and groups supporting a re- <br />quest for a crossing guard at said intersection, was con- <br />sidered by Councilmembers at their meeting of February 28. <br />1977. <br /> <br />,NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />~RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorizes the establishment of a crossing guard at <br /> the intersection of Kottinger and Mirador Drives. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorizes an amendment to the budget of the Police <br /> Division of the Public Safety Department to pay for the <br /> cost of said crossing guard at the above location. <br /> <br />Section 3.
