WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORI~IA RESOLUTION NO. 77 - 55 A RESOLUTION CO~ENDING BILL EDGAR ON HIS DEPARTURE AS CITY MANAGER OF PLEASANTON William H. Edgar has been employed by the City of Pleasanton for 11 years; and he has spent six of those years in the position of City Manager; and during those six years he has guided the City through a very difficult period, with a firm sense of directior and with pride and responsibility, managing through all of the difficulties to maintain the City's fiscal soundness; and he performed his duties with eagerness, giving greatly of his time and was always available, day or nighl, weekday or weekend, to inform and advise his cit~y council NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF TI{~ CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Pleasanton re- cognizes the City's loss in the resignation of William H. Edgar as City Manager and accepts his resignation with the satisfaction that he has truly been an outstanding manager and his administrative abilities have become well known throughout the state SECTION 2. That we shall miss his dedication to this City, his iriendly manner and his ability to make us laugh in times of stress; SECTION 3. That when we adjourn this meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasankon we do so in respect and admiration for him and with our best wishes for him ~ and his family in their new location. SECTION 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately u~on its passage and adoption.
