CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-76 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PRIORITY PROJECTS LIST FOR TITLE <br />VI COMPREHENSIVE EMPLOYMENT TRAINING ACT FUNDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Mr. Caporusso of the Human Services Commission presented <br />a report dated March 9, 1977 indicating the availability <br />of $60,142 in special funds under the CETA Title VI <br />program which had been earmarked for the City of <br />Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Council reviewed the goals and objectives suggested <br />for the programs together with guidelines for and <br />eligibility of applicants thereto; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Council heard public testimony regarding priority <br />of proposed programs and the recommendations of Mr. <br />Caporusso regarding applications for use of the funds. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council approved the following projects <br /> listed in priority order of Title VI CETA funding: <br /> <br />1. Buenas Vidas Youth Ranch of Livermore, $2,700 for a <br /> Clerk/Typist/Bookkeeper; <br />2. Hotline of Pleasanton, $8,876 for two counselors; <br />3. City of Pleasanton Needs Assessment Project, $8,278 <br /> for two project workers. <br />4. Ark School Learning Disabilities Project, $5,796 for <br /> two project workers. <br />5. Senior Citizen Service Center, City of Pleasanton, <br /> $6,053 for a coordinator to set up a center similar <br /> to the one now in operation in Livermore; <br />6. City of Pleasanton Park Maintenance, $10,518 for <br /> two park maintenance workers <br />7. Mental Health Association, $5,000 for one person <br /> to coordinate the Tri-Valley's two mental health <br /> councils; <br />8. Ark School, $4,968 for a worker to build play <br /> equipment; <br />9. Ark School, $5,520 for two staff persons to organize <br /> and operate summer camp program for children aged 5 <br /> to 16 with learning disabilities; and <br /> 10. Valley Child Care, $4,520 for one worker to train <br /> non-licensed home day-care providers in Pleasanton. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
