CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 77-64 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING STEP 2 GRANT OFFERS FOR DESIGN OF INTERCEPTOR SEWER FROM SUNOL PLANT TO VCSD PLANT WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, in January 1977 the City of Pleasanton received a Step 2 grant offer for design of interceptor sewer from Sunol Plant to VCSD Plant from Environmental Protection Agency and the State of California; and said grant offer will pay for 87 1/2% of the cost of building the interceptor's sewer line which will enable the City to phase out the Sunol Plant provided the Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management Agency project for the disposal of effluent from the Livermore-Amador Valley becomes a reality; and the City Council received a report of February 22, 1977 from the Assistant City Manager advising the City Council the acceptance of this grant offer does not commit the City to building the interceptor, and that the City may cancel this grant in the future; and the City COuncil had previously authorized, by Resolution No. 75-225 (Resolution Authorizing Filing Application for Federal and State Grants for publicly Owned Waste- water Treatment Works and Providing Certain Assurances), the Assistant City Manager to sign the grant documents accompanying the Step 2 grant offer. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Accepts a Step 2 grant offer for design of intercep- tor sewer from the Sunol Plant to the VCSD Plant from the Environmental Protection Agency in the amount of One Hundred Eighty-Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($187,500) and from the State of California in the amount of Thirty-One Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($31,250) recognizing that the City's share of the cost for the design of this interceptor line will be Thirty-One Thousand Two Fifty Dollars.
