CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 77-96 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE INCLUSION OF UP TO ONE MILLION <br />GALLONS OF INDUSTRIAL CAPACITY IN THE LIVERMORE-AMADOR VALLEY <br />WATER MANAGEMENT AGENCY PROJECT FOR PURCHASE BY THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management Agency Board of <br />Directors, at a special meeting to be held on March 30, 1977, <br />will be selecting a wastewater disposal project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the LAVWMA Board of Directors, at their meeting of March 24, <br />1977, received a reclamation -reuse, and export alternatives <br />evaluation report from their engineering consultants, CH2M <br />Hill, which indicated at page 3-13 that the inclusion of <br />one million gallons per day of additional capacity for the <br />City of Pleasanton would cost $789,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council of the City of Pleasanton had endorsed and <br />authorized execution of an agreement with Livermore-Amador <br />Valley Water Management Agency for the purchase of industrial <br />capacity in the original pipeline submitted to the voters <br />at the November, 1976, election (Resolution 76-229); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council of the City of Pleasanton is desirous of <br />having the opportunity to purchase additional capacity in <br />the LAVWMA pipeline in order to provide capacity for indus- <br />trial/commercial uses; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Pleasanton requests that the <br /> Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management Agency Board of <br /> Directors grant to City of Pleasanton an option <br /> to purchase up to one million gallons per day of additional <br /> capacity in the LAVWMA export project for industrial/commer- <br /> cial uses in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 2.
