CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 77-95 A RESOLUTION ENCOURAGING THE LIVERMORE-AMADOR VALLEY WATER MANAGEMENT AGENCY BOARE OF DIRECTORS TO APPLY FOR A STEP 4 RECLAMATION GRANT WHEREAS, the Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management Agency, at a special meeting to be held on March 30, 1977, will be selecting a project to remove treated effluent from the Livermore-Amador Valley; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton, at an adjourned regular meeting held on March 29, 1977, considered a report from CH2M Hill, Engineering Consultants to the LAVWMA Board of Directors, regarding reclamation-reuse and export alter- natives; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton adopted Resolu- tion 77-94 (A Resolution Endorsing the Selection of LAVWMA Export Alternative 1B-O) designating the most cost-effective project as being Alternative 1B-O with no demineralization and nominal reuse of wastewater; and WHEREAS, the City Council is aware that State Water Resources Control Board has not considered reclamation projects to be grant fundable in the past but further understands that said pro- jects will be considered for grant funding in the future; and WHEREAS, the City Council believes that greater reclamation of waste- water should be undertaken in the future; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council encourages the Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management Agency to make application at the earliest possible occasion for a Step 4 Reclamation Grant. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
