CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-95 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ENCOURAGING THE LIVERMORE-AMADOR VALLEY WATER <br />MANAGEMENT AGENCY BOARE OF DIRECTORS TO APPLY FOR A STEP 4 <br />RECLAMATION GRANT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management Agency, at a <br />special meeting to be held on March 30, 1977, will be <br />selecting a project to remove treated effluent from the <br />Livermore-Amador Valley; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council of the City of Pleasanton, at an adjourned <br />regular meeting held on March 29, 1977, considered a report <br />from CH2M Hill, Engineering Consultants to the LAVWMA Board <br />of Directors, regarding reclamation-reuse and export alter- <br />natives; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council of the City of Pleasanton adopted Resolu- <br />tion 77-94 (A Resolution Endorsing the Selection of LAVWMA <br />Export Alternative 1B-O) designating the most cost-effective <br />project as being Alternative 1B-O with no demineralization <br />and nominal reuse of wastewater; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council is aware that State Water Resources Control <br />Board has not considered reclamation projects to be grant <br />fundable in the past but further understands that said pro- <br />jects will be considered for grant funding in the future; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council believes that greater reclamation of waste- <br /> water should be undertaken in the future; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. The City Council encourages the Livermore-Amador Valley <br />Water Management Agency to make application at the earliest <br />possible occasion for a Step 4 Reclamation Grant. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED MARCH 30, 1977 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, He~~eClaii~!r~~r and <br /> Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None ~ <br /> <br />ABSENT: None , <br /> <br />A : ROBERT C.
