CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-91 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE PROMUL- <br />GATED BY THE VARIOUS AGENCIES OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the People of the State of California by initiative <br /> enacted the Political Reform Act of 1974; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Act requires agencies of local governments to adopt <br /> a Conflict of Interest Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is designated as the reviewing body by <br /> the Act of those codes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />each of the agencies of the City of Pleasanton have com- <br />pleted the process of promulgating for themselves, <br />Conflict of Interest Codes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the public and designated employees were given an oppor- <br />tunity to comment on the adopted codes at a public <br />hearing held on March 18, 1977; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />adopted codes have been submitted to this City Council <br />for its review by the Planning Commission, the Park and <br />Recreation Commission, the Housing Authority, the Admin- <br />istrative, Legal and Human Resources Agency, the Community <br />Development Agency, the Public Safety Agency, and the <br />Field Services Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Council held an additional hearing on the codes <br />March 28, 1977 to provide a second opportunity for the <br />public and employees to give testimony on the codes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed the codes of the various agencies <br /> of the City. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Conflict of Interest Codes promulgated by the <br /> Planning Commission, Park and Recreation Commission, <br /> Housing Authority, Administrative, Legal and Human Resources <br /> Agency, Community Development Agency, Public Safety Agency <br /> and Field Services Agency be approved as adopted, except <br /> as modified in Section 2 of this resolution. <br /> <br />Section 2. That each of the codes' definition of the word "relative" <br /> as found in the section called "Disqualification," be <br /> modified to include the word "child." <br /> <br /> <br />
