CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-110 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF PLEASANTON'S <br />SHARE OF THE LOCAL COST FOR DESIGN PLANS FOR EX- <br />PANSION OF THE VALLEY COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICT <br />PLANT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton and the Valley Community Services <br />District entered into a settlement agreement of November 8, <br />1972 together with various intervening developers in order <br />to settle various suits relating to the use of the Valley <br />Community Services District plant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to the terms of paragraph 1 of said agreement, <br />VCSD made application to the state for Step 2 Grant for <br />expansion of its facility; and <br /> <br />a portion of the expansion of the Valley Community Services <br />District plant will serve phase-out of the City of Pleasan- <br />ton-Sunol Treatment Plant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Valley Community Services District and the City of Pleasan- <br />ton have been advised by the state that it will be necessary <br />to indicate commitment of the local share funding for the <br />engineering plans to be prepared for said expansion; and <br /> <br />the City Council of the City of Pleasanton considered the <br />advancing of City of Pleasanton's proportionate share of <br />the local share cost, approximating $40,000.00, at its meet- <br />ing of April 11, 1977. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />SOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />RE- <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. Commits $40,000.00 of the treatment plant phase-out fund <br />for the payment of the City of Pleasanton's proportionate <br />share of the local cost for engineering plans to allow an ex- <br />pansion of the Valley Community Services District plant. <br /> <br />2. The Mayor and Vice-Mayor are authorized to approve the <br />dlspersement of said $40,000.00 as deemed appropriate <br />by the Mayor and Vice-Mayor. <br /> <br />3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
