CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-122 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING HIRING A FULL TIME PERMANENT ACCOUNTANT <br />AND AMENDING THE BUDGET <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City's accounting system over the past five years <br /> has become more complex; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City needs a full-time permanent accountant to handle <br />the increasing amount of the City's revenue that is now <br />and will continue to be coming from State and Federal <br />Grants; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />although the current staff members have been doing an <br />excellent job, we have allowed them to become over <br />extended, and it is not possible for them to keep up <br />properly; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of April 25, 1977, received <br />and reviewed a report and attachments dated April 19, 1977 <br />from the Acting City Manager regarding the need of a new <br />full-time permanent accountant. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorizes the hiring of a full-time permanent accountant <br /> effective June 1, 1977. <br /> <br />Section 2.
