CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-155 <br /> <br />APPROVING COMMITMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYMENT ACT <br />FUNDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City has started receiving Anti-recession Allocations <br />under Title II of the Public Works Employment Act of 1976; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />these funds are intended to be used to maintain basic <br />services which have been customarily provided to citizens <br />of the community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />the funds must be spent in accordance with the State and <br />local laws and procedures applicable to the expenditure <br />of the City's own revenues; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />staff recommends that the City Council authorize and <br />approve allocation of these funds for the .purpose of <br />hiring another Assistant Civil Engineer. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Appropriates $25,597.00 of Public Works Employment Act <br /> of 1976 funds to pay the salary and fringe benefits of a <br /> new Assistant Civil Engineer to be hired in 1977-78. <br /> <br />Section 2.
