CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-176 <br /> <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY TO OBTAIN AN EMERGENCY RESCUE VEHICLE UNDER <br />THE FEDERALLY FUNDED EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESCUE VEHICLE PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Alameda County has found it to be in the public interest to <br />assure the availability of efficient emergency rescue ser- <br />vices by participation in the federally funded emergency <br />medical rescue vehicle program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Alameda County has acquired emergency medical rescue vehicles <br />meeting the standards esta Wished by the Department of Trans- <br />portation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton is desirous of utilizing one of these <br />vehicles in the provision of emergency medical rescue services; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the former City Manager and the Acting Fire Chief have pre- <br />viously discussed this program with the City Council during <br />budget sessions and Council has approved the participation <br />by the City in this particular program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of June 27, 1977, considered <br />a proposed agreement which had been reviewed by the Alameda <br />County Counsel's staff, the Alameda County Health Care <br />Services, and the City Attorney; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. Approves and authorizes execution by the Mayor of the <br /> Emergency Medical Rescue Vehicle Agreement with Alameda <br /> County as approved by Alameda County Counsel, Alameda County <br /> Health Care Services, and the City Attorney as indicated in <br /> his report to Council dated June 22, 1977. <br /> <br />Section 2.
