CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-173 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />FOR PROJECT 77-2, "THE IMPROVEMENT OF VALLEy <br />AVENUE-SANTA RITA ROAD INTERSECTION AND THE IN~ <br />STALLATION OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL." <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Director of Engineering Services, by memorandum dated <br />June 21, 1977, advised the City Council that plans and <br />specifications had been completed for the improvement of <br />Valley Avenue and Santa Rita Road and installation of a <br />traffic signal, Project 77-2; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this project will consist of realigning Valley Avenue east <br />of Santa Rita Road with the present Valley Avenue west of <br />Santa Rita, the installation of traffic signals and the <br />widening of Santa Rita Road between Valley Avenue and Mohr <br />Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, funding has been allocated in the current and the Fiscal <br /> Year 1977-78 Budgets. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves the plans and specifications for the improvement <br /> of Valley Avenue-Santa Rita Road Intersection and the instal- <br /> lation of a traffic signal - Project 77-2. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorizes the calling of bids in the above project. <br /> <br />Section 3.
