CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 77-185 APPROVING COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE POLICY FOR CITY WHEREAS, the City's Property, Crime and Liability policy and the $5,000,000 Umbrella policy expired July 1, 1977; a~d WHEREAS, the City's insurance broker, Cooper-McKenzie-Murphy, has received quotations from the limited number of insurance companies that will provide coverage to cities, and has, through negotiations, obtained coverage for fiscal year 1977-78; and WHEREAS, the insurance broker, has secured a binder for the cover- age pending the approval of the two policies by the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of July 11, 1977, received and reviewed a report, together with attachements, dated July 6, 1977, regarding the City's Insurance, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approves the current renewal program at the limits described at an annual premium of $270,620.00. Section 2. Adopt a complete Loss Prevention Program in concert with Continental Insurance Company. Section 3. Authorizes formation of a small committee of Council- members to discuss with Ben E. Fernandez the various optional methods of providing liability protection for the City of Pleasanton. Section 4. Authorizes increasing the 1977-78 Budget by $70,650.00. Section 5. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
