CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 77-220 APPROVAL OF EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT WITH WARREN B. RANDALL REGARDING CHIEF BUILDING INSPECTOR POSITION WHEREAS, Mr. Charles Dobbins, Chief Building Inspector, will retire effective September 6, 1977; and WHEREAS, this position will not be filled until mid-October; and WHEREAS, after reviewing the workload of the Inspection Services Division and taking into consideration the importance of the Chief Building Inspector's position to the accomplish- ment of that workload, it is necessary that the Chief Building Inspector's position be filled on an interim basis until a permanent replacement for Mr. Dobbins is appointed; and WHEREAS, Warren B. Randall, Pleasanton's first full-time Building Inspector and currently retained by the City on a part-time basis as a structural plan checker, has indicated his will- ingness to serve as Chief Building Inspector; and WHEREAS, if approved, Mr. Randall would be employed on an interim basis through November 1, 1977, in accordance with the provisions of the employment agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference; and WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of August 23, 1977, received and reviewed a report dated August 11, 1977, from the City Manager regarding the position of Chief Building Inspector. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approves the Employment Contract with Warren B. Randall regarding interim Chief Building Inspector position. ~ection 2. Authorizes appropriate City officials to execute said agreement. Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
