CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-220 <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT WITH WARREN B. RANDALL <br />REGARDING CHIEF BUILDING INSPECTOR POSITION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Charles Dobbins, Chief Building Inspector, will retire <br /> effective September 6, 1977; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this position will not be filled until mid-October; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after reviewing the workload of the Inspection Services <br />Division and taking into consideration the importance of <br />the Chief Building Inspector's position to the accomplish- <br />ment of that workload, it is necessary that the Chief <br />Building Inspector's position be filled on an interim <br />basis until a permanent replacement for Mr. Dobbins is <br />appointed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Warren B. Randall, Pleasanton's first full-time Building <br />Inspector and currently retained by the City on a part-time <br />basis as a structural plan checker, has indicated his will- <br />ingness to serve as Chief Building Inspector; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />if approved, Mr. Randall would be employed on an interim <br />basis through November 1, 1977, in accordance with the <br />provisions of the employment agreement attached hereto <br />and incorporated herein by reference; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of August 23, 1977, received <br />and reviewed a report dated August 11, 1977, from the City <br />Manager regarding the position of Chief Building Inspector. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves the Employment Contract with Warren B. Randall <br /> regarding interim Chief Building Inspector position. <br /> <br />~ection 2. Authorizes appropriate City officials to execute said <br /> agreement. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
