CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-202 <br /> <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITION AND RELOCATION ASSISTANCE <br />SERVICES FOR PETERS AVENUE RIGHT-OF-WAY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the acquisition of a parcel of right-of-way for Peters <br />Avenue is one of the projects in the 1977-78 Capital <br />Improvement Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, only one parcel remains to be acquired to complete the <br /> right-of-way acquisition between St. Mary Street and <br /> St. John Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the most logical choice for acquisition would be this <br />one remaining parcel, property located at 391 St. Marys <br />Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property contains a single-family residential unit <br /> currently occupied by a tenant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />State Law requires that a rather detailed and complicated <br />set of Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition <br />Guidelines be followed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />because the City staff has no one experienced in relocation <br />assistance, staff has solicited from CalTrans a proposal to <br />assist the City in the process of acquisition and relocation <br />assistance that staff would have to provide upon acquiring <br />this property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the City Attorney approved the draft agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of July 25, 1977, received <br />and reviewed a report and attachments dated July 20, 1977, <br />from the Director of Engineering Services regarding right- <br />of-way acquisition and relocation assistance services for <br />Peters Avenue right-of-way. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves Right-of-Way acquisition and Relocation <br /> Assistance Services, from CalTrans for Peters Avenue <br /> Right-of-Way. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorizes the execution of the final agreement by the <br /> appropriate City officials. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
