CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-201 <br /> <br />RE: REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR INTERSECTION <br />IMPROVEMENTS AT VALLEY AVENUE AND SANTA RITA ROAD, PROJECT <br />77-2 TO OLIVER de SILVA, INC. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />The City prepared plans and specifications for the improve- <br />ments of Valley Avenue and Santa Rita Road intersection and <br />installation of a traffic signal, Project 77-2; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code #37900, et seq., the City <br />Engineering Services Department advertised for bids regarding <br />this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at their meeting of July 25, 1977, reviewed <br />the bids received and determined that the bid of Oliver de <br />Silva, Inc. was the lowest responsible bid; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The bid of Oliver de Silva, Inc., 22991 Clawiter Rd. <br /> Hayward, in the amount of $191,811.60 for the construction <br /> of the improvements of Valley Avenue and Santa Rita Road <br /> intersection and installation of a traffic signal, Project <br /> 77-2 is hereby accepted by City Council as the lowest <br /> responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City is authorized to enter into a contract with <br /> Oliver de Silva, Inc. for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3.
