CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 77-235 EXCHANGING A THREE FOOT STRIP OF PROPERTY FOR CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS AND DEDICATIONS BY THE PROPERTY OWNERS OF 480 ST. JOHN STREET WHEREAS, on June 13, 1977, the Planning Commission and Design Review Board considered and approved the application of Jim and Jo Betty Allen for construction of an office building to be located at 480 St. John Street; and WHEREAS, the property is located in the future intersection of St. John Street and Peters Avenue; and WHEREAS, the Allens proposed that access to the building be from Peters Avenue rather than St. John Street; and WHEREAS, since that portion of Peters Avenue is not yet constructed and the City does not have plans to contract it in the immediate future, the Aliens propose to finance construction for one-half of the street at this time; and WHEREAS in return for this substantial contribution to the City, the Aliens have asked that the City grant them a three (3) foot wide strip of land lying between the Peters Avenue right-of- way and their property, which they would include in their design as landscaping; and WHEREAS, as additional consideration, the Allens have offered to grant to the City a small parcel of land needed by the City for development of the Peters Street right-of-way; and WHEREAS, in order to process a request for property disposition, the Planning Commission must first report to the City Council that the proposed disposition of City property is in con- formance with the General Plan; and WHEREAS, on July 10, 1977, the Planning Commission passed a resolution to that effect; and WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of August 23, 1977, received and reviewed a report dated August 17, 1977, from the Deputy City Attorney regarding the above-mentioned matter. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
