CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-231 <br /> <br />APPROVING NAME CHANGES FOR CERTAIN PORTIONS OF <br />TASSAJAHA ROAD AND SANTA RITA ROAD <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />the Planning Commission, at its meeting of August 10, 1977, <br />heard a report from the Director of Engineering Services <br />which recommended certain street name changes to Santa Rita <br />Road and Tassajara Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this report recommended that the name Santa Rita Road <br />should be continuous all the way out to Route 580, and <br />that the old portion of Santa Rita Road that continues <br />north from the intersection where Santa Rita Road now <br />becomes Tassajara Road should be named Old Santa Road; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission at its meeting of August 10, 1977, <br />held a public hearing at which no one from the public <br />spoke either in favor or opposition to the proposed name <br />changes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after the close of the public hearing the Planning Commis- <br />sion adopted Resolution No. 1550, recommending that City <br />Council adopt the name changes proposed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of August 23, 1977, received <br />a report dated August 16, 1977, from the Director of Engi- <br />neering Services recommending said name changes. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves street name changes on Santa Rita Road as follows: <br /> <br />1. Change Tassajara Road between Santa Rita Road and <br /> Route 580 to terminus of existing Santa Rita Road; and <br /> <br />2. Change Santa Rita Road between Tassajara Road and <br /> its northerly terminus to Old Santa Rita Road. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
