CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-227 <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR PAVEMENT MARKING <br />INSTALLATION ON VARIOUS CITY STREETS PROJECT 77-5 TO <br />J. F. HOURIGAN COMPANY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />The City prepared plans and specifications for Project NO. <br />77-5, Pavement Marking Installations on Various City Streets; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code #37900, <br />ing Services Department advertised <br />project; and <br /> <br />et seq., the City Engineer- <br />for bids regarding this <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bids received were reviewed and the bid of J. F, Hourigan <br /> Company was the lowest responsible bid, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br /> The bid of J. F. Hourigan Company in the amount of $21,908.50 <br />for the installation of the pavement makings on various City <br />streets, Project No. 77-5 is hereby accepted by City Council <br />as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City is authorized to enter into a contract with J. F. <br /> Hourigan Company for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its <br /> passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION WAS ADOPTED ON AUGUST 23, 1977 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Herlihy, Claire, Merc~_~ and Mayor Philcox <br /> <br />ATTEST: ROBE T C.
