CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-222 <br /> <br />LOCAL AGENCY-STATE AGREEMENT FOR FEDERAL AID PROJECTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Congress of the United States has appropriated Federal <br />Funds to be expended for highway, fringe parking, bicycle <br />transportation, pedestrian walkways, and mass transportation <br />projects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Legislature of the State of California has enacted <br />legislation by which certain Federal funds authorized may be <br />made available for use on local transportation facilities <br />in accordance with the intent of Federal Acts; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />in order to become eligible for Federal Funds it is necessary <br />for the City to enter into an agreement with the State set- <br />ting forth the conditions by which Federal Funds wilt be <br />made available to the City for local transportation needs <br />in accordance with the Federal Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of August 23, 1977, received <br />a report dated August 13, 1977, from the Director of Engineer- <br />ing Services to which was attached a proposed "Local Agency- <br />State Agreement for Federal Aid Projects with Supplements <br />Number 1 and Number 2". <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. City Council approves the execution of a Local Agency-State <br /> Agreement for Federal Aid Projects as attached to the report <br /> of the Director of Engineering Services of August 13, 1977, <br /> together with supplements number 1 and 2 thereto. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorizes theMayor to execute, subject to approval by the <br /> City Attorney, the agreement approved by Section 1 above. <br /> <br />Section 3.
