CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-256 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING VARIOUS STRUCTURES AS HIS- <br />TORIC STRUCTURES PURSUANT TO THE HISTORICAL OVERLAY <br />DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council of the City of Pleasanton has designated <br />itself as the interim Historical Landmark Advisory Com- <br />mittee; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a function of the committee is to designate historic struc- <br />tures in the City of Pleasanton pursuant to the criteria <br />set forth in Sections 2-9.14.1 and 2-9.16.1; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with various buildings in the <br /> City of Pleasanton of a historic nature; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council desires to designate various buildings in <br />the City of Pleasanton which should be included within the <br />provisions of the Historical Overlay District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton Bicentennial Committee had under- <br />taken a review of various building in the City of Pleas- <br />anton of a historic nature. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RE- <br />SOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. The City Council sitting as the Historical Landmark Ad- <br /> visory Committee does determine that the following buildings <br /> in the City of Pleasanton are historic and subject to the <br /> provisions of the Historical Overlay District: <br /> <br />(1) Southern Pacific Railroad Station <br /> Neal Street, Pleasanton <br /> <br />(2) Presbyterian Church <br /> Corner of First Street and Neal Street <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />Structures identified as historic struc- <br />tures by the Pleasanton Bicentennial Com- <br />mittee as more particularly set forth in <br />Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated <br />herein by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. The historic structures listed in Section 1. above are <br /> judged by the standards set forth in Sections 2-9.14.1 <br /> and 2-9.16.1 and found to include most but not all of <br /> the six criteria set forth in Section 2-9.14.1 and all <br /> of the criteria set forth in Section 2-9.16.1 <br /> <br /> <br />
