CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-255 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE CITY COUNCIL AS THE HISTORICAL <br />LANDMARK ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Article 15.5, Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code <br />of the City of Pleasanton establishes a Historical Overlay <br />District in the City of Pleasanton for the purposes of <br />preserving historical buildings; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 2-9.13 provides for the establishment of a Historical <br /> Landmark Advisory Committee; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />City Council has determined to advertise for and obtained <br />candidates for the proposed committee to be designated on <br />October 25, 1977; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />prior to the establishment of the committee, the City Council <br />wishes to insure the preservation of historic structures <br />pursuant to the ordinance. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council designates itself on an interim basis as <br /> the Historical Landmark Advisory Committe. The City Council <br /> shall remain as members of the Historical Landmark Advisory Com- <br /> mittee until such timeas a complete committee has been appointed <br /> to replace the City Council. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 20, 1977 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, erlihy, LeClaire, Mayor Philcox <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
