CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-251 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER, CLAYTON E. BROWN <br />TO RECEIVE STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton has an agreement with the State Board <br />of Equalization for the collection of sales and use taxes; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Article IV, Paragraph A of that agreement designates the city <br />official that is to receive all communications from the State <br />Board of Equalization; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Clayton E. Brown, the City's new City Manager, is not desig- <br /> nated in Article IV, Paragraph A; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />it is necessary for the City Council to adopt a resolution to <br />authorize Clayton E. Brown to receive all communications and <br />notices from the State Board of Equalization, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council designates Clayton E. Brown, City Manager, <br /> as the official authorized by Article IV, Paragraph A of the <br /> City's agreement with the State Board of Equalization, to re- <br /> ceive communications and notices from the State Board of <br /> Equalization. <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />2. The Mayor is authorized to execute any modifications to <br />the City's contract with the State Board of Equalization, sub- <br />ject to approval of the City Attorney, as may be necessary to <br />effectuate this resolution. <br /> <br />Section 3.
