CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 77-247 APPROVAL OF STEP 3 GRANT APPLICATION AND AMENDMENT #3 TO ENGINEERING CONTRACT WHEREAS, on September 12, 1977, the City staff received the Step 3 Grant Application and Amendment No. 3 to Engineering Contract; and WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS it is necessary for the City Council to authorize filing the application for the Step 3 Grant for the construction of the Interceptor Sewer and to approve the contract amend- ment for engineering services during construction if we are to proceed with the project; and the State has advised that these documents should be sub- mitted to them as soon as possible in order to assure receipt of both State and Federal Grants; and Kennedy Engineers will be submitting final plans and specifications on the pump stations as required to receive State funding; and the final cost estimate for the project is $3,549,000 of which the local share will be $548,000; and WHEREAS WHEREAS the main reason for the cost increase is the escalation due to inflation from July, 1976, to the estimated mid- project date of October 1978; and the City Council at its meeting of September 13, 1977, received and reviewed a report dated September 13, 1977, from the Assistant City Manager regarding Step 3 Grant Application and Amendment No. 3 to Engineering Contract. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approves Step 3 Grant Application Amendment No. 3 to Engineering Contract. Section 2. Authorizes the Mayor to sign the Agreement subject to ' approval by the City Attorney. Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. III
