CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-273 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION NAMING THE PARK SITE IN THE HERITAGE <br />VALLEY AREA THE ORLOFF PARK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of October 11, 1977, re- <br />ceived a report from the Director of Recreation to which <br />was appended Resolution No. 77-9 of the Park and Recreation <br />Commission and communications of August 19, 1977 and August 24, <br />1977 from the Director of Engineering Services regarding the <br />naming of Park Site (Center Park-T) Heritage Valley Area, Mor- <br />rison Homes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Commission recommended that the park <br /> be designated either the Kolln Park or the Heritage Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council was addressed by Dagmar Fulton, who urged the <br />Council to name the park the Orloff Park and gave a history of <br />the Orloff family; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council deliberated upon the information contained in <br /> the Staff Report and the presentation by Ms. Dagmar Fulton. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. City Council approves the naming of Park Site (Center Park-T) <br /> Heritage Valley Area, Morrison Homes to be the Orloff Park in <br /> honor and memory of Thomas and Edwin Orloff. <br /> <br />Section 2.
