CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-268 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AND THE INTERNATIONAL <br />ASSOCIATION OF FIREFIGHTERS LOCAL 1974 AND FIXING <br />SALARIES AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT FOR ENUMERATED <br />CLASSES OF EMPLOYEES, AND Air[ENDING THE 77-78 BUDGET <br />ACCORDINGLY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton, acting through the City Manager <br />as employer representative of the City Council, and the <br />International Association of Firefighters Local 1974 have <br />met and conferred pursuant to the provisions of Section <br />3500, et. seq., of the Government Code in regard to wages, <br />hours and other terms and conditions of employment for <br />members of the International Association of Firefighters <br />Local 1974; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />as a result of the above meeting and conferring process <br />a Memorandum of Understanding dated October 10, 1977, was <br />entered into between the City Manager and representatives <br />of the International Association of Firefighters Local <br />1974; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Memorandum of Understanding was presented to the City <br /> Council at the regular meeting of October 11, 1977. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />~ection 1. The Memorandum of Understanding entered into between <br /> the City Manager and representatives of the International <br /> Association of Firefighters Local 1974 for a term commencing <br /> July 1, 1977 through March 31, 1979, attached hereto as <br /> Exhibit A and incorporated herein, by reference, is hereby <br /> accepted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br /> subject to the terms and conditions contained in the <br /> Memorandum of Understanding. <br /> <br />Section 2. The employees class titles and salary ranges to be paid <br /> by the City of Pleasanton to all employees in the Fire <br /> Employees Union during the period July 1, 1977 through <br /> March 31, 1979 shall be set forth in Exhibit A, which is <br /> attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
