CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-300 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPEAL OF RODNEY COWIN RE- <br />LATING TO A HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT AT 3855 MESA VERDE <br />COURT (AP-77-10) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Mr. Rodney Cowin, 3855 Mesa Verde Court, applied to the Plan- <br />ning Commission for a home occupation permit to operate a <br />vending machine service from his residence; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission at its meeting of October 12, 1977, <br />considered Case Z-77-147 together with Staff Report of <br />October 12, 1977 regarding this matter; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission denied Mr. Cowin's request; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />within the time specified by the Ordinance Code of the City <br />of Pleasanton, Mr. Cowin submitted an appeal to the City Clerk <br />of the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of November 8, 1977, received <br />a report of November 1, 1977 from the Director of Planning <br />together with a copy of the Staff Report to the Planning Com- <br />mission of October 12, 1977 regarding this matter; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council held a public hearing at which time Mr. Cowin <br />and any other member of the public was offered an opportunity <br />to present evidence regarding this appeal for home occupation <br />permit; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, upon the close of public hearing, the City Council deliberated <br /> on this appeal. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Denies the appeal of Rodney Cowin in Case AP-77-10 for home <br /> occupation permit to allow the operation of a vending machine <br /> service from a residence located at 3855 Mesa Verde Court. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its <br /> passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED NOVEMBER 8, 1977 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Herlihy LeClaire, Mercer and <br /> <br />NOES: one Mayor Philcox ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
