CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 77~294a A RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO, 74~85 AND AUTH~ ORIZING EXECUTION OF ASSURANCE STATEMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN FEDERAL SURPLUS PROPERTY PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has previously participated in a Federal Surplus Property Program and adopted Resolution No. 74-85 (Combination of Surplus Property Over and Under $2500) authorizing said participation; and WHEREAS, City has recently received from the Assistant Director of Alameda County, Office of Emergency Services, a new reso~ lution of eligibility to acquire Federal surplus property from the California State Agency for surplus property; and WHEREAS, said resolution was provided to the City Council at its meeting of November 8, 1977, together with a form assuring compliance with GSA regulations under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; and WHEREAS, the City Council considered the above documents prior to taking its action. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Rescinds Resolution No. 74-85 (Combination of Surplus Property Over and Under $2500)in its entirety. Section 2. Authorizes execution by the Mayor, subject to approval of the City Attorney, of an Assurance Statement regarding compli- ance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 in order for the City to participate in the Federal Surplus Property Program. Section 3. This resolution shall become effective i~nediately upon its passage and adoption.
