CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-293 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 77-73 (ADOPTION <br />OF PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS) RELATING TO VIOLA- <br />TION OF CORPUS REGULATIONS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton is participating with other cities <br />in Alameda County in the Criminal Oriented Records Production <br />Unified System; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the County Counsel's office of Alameda County has taken the <br />position, based upon action by the Board of Supervisors, that <br />each city participating in the CORPUS Program should adopt a <br />regulation in its personnel rules to the affect that an <br />employee may be disciplined for violating the CORPUS regula- <br />tions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Attorney's office advised appropriate representatives <br />of the Pleasanton City Employee Association, International <br />Association of Firefighters, Local 1974, and Operating Engi- <br />neers, Local #3 by letter of October 5, 1977 of the need to <br />adopt an amendment to Section 1402 of Resolution No. 71-73 <br />in order to comply with County regulations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this matter was considered by the City Council at its meeting <br />of October 25, 1977, at which time the City Council deliberated <br />upon a letter of October 21, 1977 to which was appended the <br />City Attorney's letter of October 5, 1977 to all affected em- <br />ploy organizations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council was advised by the City Attorney that no em- <br />ploy organization had objected to the proposed amendment. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Section 1402 (Discipline) of Resolution No. 71-73 (Adoption <br /> of Personnel Rules and Regulations) is amended by the inclu- <br /> sion of a subsection (r) to read as follows: <br /> <br />"(r) Violation of CORPUS Regulations." <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />2. The City Clerk is directed to transmit a certified copy of <br /> this resolution to Mr. Lee Hague, Director of the Criminal <br /> Oriented Records Production Unified System of Alameda County. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its <br /> passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
