CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-292 <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF PLAN NO. 1, AND ARCHITECTURAL CONTRACT <br />REGARDING THE CIVIC CENTER EXPANSION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council allocated $240,000 in the 1977-78 budget <br />for the construction of a community meeting room and <br />additional office space; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the architect firm of Jack Bras and Associates has pre- <br />pared preliminary sketches of two alternative plans that <br />would allow the City to terminate the lease for the Justice <br />Court Building; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Attorney prepared a draft agreement with the <br />architect for services related to the building project; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of October 25, 1977, <br />received and reviewed a report dated October 14, 1977, <br />from the Assistant to the City Manager regarding the <br />Civic Center Expansion Program. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves Plan No. 1 for the Civic Center Expansion, <br /> making necessary arrangements to accomodate anyone <br /> including the handicapped that has business with the City <br /> Attorney's Office. <br /> <br />Section 2. Approves the contract for architectural services with <br /> J. Jack Bras and Associates for a fee of $15,800 plus any <br /> costs incurred due to State law regarding energy measures. <br /> <br />Section 3.
