CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 77-289 WHEREAS, WHEREAS, A RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISIONS TO THE CURRENT NON- MANAGEMENT POSITION CLASS TITLES WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF FIELD SERVICES AND RECLASSIFICATION OF TWO POSITIONS WITHIN THE DIVISION.OF ENGINEERING SERVICES. a major classification study of each position within the City has not been undertaken since the late 1960's~ and since Sai~ study', the City has undergone a number of changes with respect to organizational structure, work load and methods of operation, thus, necessitating the need for the re-examina- tion of the duties and responsibilities of each position in the City's work force to insure they are assigned to the proper class and to recommend changes in classification where necessary; and WHEREAS, the City Manager's office commenced its classification study in reviewing the non-management positions within the Department of Field Services and the Division of Engineering Services; and WHEREAS, the report of October 18, 1977 was prepared by the City Manager's office and submitted to the City Council for consideration at its meeting of October 25, 1977; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of October 25, 1977, the City Council did consider said report; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approves the revised class titles for the Department of Field Services non-management positions as set forth on pages 4 and 5 of the October 18, 19'77 Staff Report, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference. Section 2. Approves the following reclassification and salary range adjustments in the Division of Engineering Services: One Senior EngineeringTechnician is reclassified to Park and Landscape Designer at a salary range of $1,519-$1,847 per month. One Public Works Inspector is reclassified to Construction Inspector at a salary range of $1,447-$1,760 per month.
