CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 77-286 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A LION'S CLUB APPLICATION FOR A PARADE ON JUNE 25, 1978 AND A~NDING THE CITY OF PLEASANTON BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1977-78 FOR CITY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH SAID PARADE. WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Lion's has submitted an application for a parade permit to sponsor the 1978 Alameda County Fair Parade to be held on June 25, 1978; and WHEREAS, said application complied with all provisions with the City of Pleasanton Parade Ordinance relating to time and date of parade, routes, other events in coordination with the parade, insurance coverage, number and types of floats, consessionaire and vendors, and hold harmless clause; and WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety, after review of said parade permit, prepared a list of recommended conditions to be applied to the parade, should the permit be granted; and a report regarding the prop6sed parade permit was prepared by the Assistant to the City Manager on October 18, 1977 and transmitted to the City~ouncil for consideration, at its meeting QfQctober 25, 1977; and at the City Council meeting of October 25, 1977, Mr. Ben Fernandes of ~he Lion's Club, made a presentation to the City Council regarding the requested parade permit by the Lion's Club; ~ NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council approves the Lion's Club application for a parade permit to hold the 1978 Alameda County Fair Parade on June 25, 1978, between the hours of 12:00 noon and 3:00 p.m. subject to the conditions of the Public Safety Department more particularly set forth on pages 2 and 3 of the October 18, 1977 Staff Report to the City Council, which is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference. Section 2. The City of Pleasanton budget for fiscal year 1977-78 is adjusted by the allocation from the unallocated reserve of approximately $1,710.00 to pay for costs to incurred by the City of Pleasanton in conjunction with said parade as more particularly set forth in Exhibit A.
