CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-286 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A LION'S CLUB APPLICATION FOR <br />A PARADE ON JUNE 25, 1978 AND A~NDING THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1977-78 FOR CITY <br />COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH SAID PARADE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Pleasanton Lion's has submitted an application for a <br />parade permit to sponsor the 1978 Alameda County Fair Parade <br />to be held on June 25, 1978; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />said application complied with all provisions with the City <br />of Pleasanton Parade Ordinance relating to time and date of <br />parade, routes, other events in coordination with the parade, <br />insurance coverage, number and types of floats, consessionaire <br />and vendors, and hold harmless clause; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Department of Public Safety, after review of said parade <br />permit, prepared a list of recommended conditions to be applied <br />to the parade, should the permit be granted; and <br /> <br />a report regarding the prop6sed parade permit was prepared <br />by the Assistant to the City Manager on October 18, 1977 <br />and transmitted to the City~ouncil for consideration, at <br />its meeting QfQctober 25, 1977; and <br /> <br />at the City Council meeting of October 25, 1977, Mr. Ben <br />Fernandes of ~he Lion's Club, made a presentation to the <br />City Council regarding the requested parade permit by the <br />Lion's Club; ~ <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council approves the Lion's Club application for <br /> a parade permit to hold the 1978 Alameda County Fair Parade <br /> on June 25, 1978, between the hours of 12:00 noon and 3:00 p.m. <br /> subject to the conditions of the Public Safety Department <br /> more particularly set forth on pages 2 and 3 of the October 18, <br /> 1977 Staff Report to the City Council, which is attached <br /> hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br /> The City of Pleasanton budget for fiscal year 1977-78 is <br />adjusted by the allocation from the unallocated reserve of <br />approximately $1,710.00 to pay for costs to incurred by the <br />City of Pleasanton in conjunction with said parade as more <br />particularly set forth in Exhibit A. <br /> <br /> <br />
