CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 77-319 APPROVAL OF SALE OF YMCA BUILDING AT 287 ROSE AVENUE WHEREAS, last year the City acquired the property at 287 Rose Avenue for the extension of Peters Avenue from Division Street to Rose Avenue; and WHEREAS, the YMCA has been occupying the building at 287 Rose Avenue for several years but is scheduled to move out of the build- ing in early December so that the site clearing and street project can proceed; and WHEREAS, Engineering has received several inquiries concerning the acquisition of the building for moving and restoration and would like to put the building on the market as the first choice in clearing the site; and WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of November 29, 1977, received and reviewed a report dated November 15, 1977, from the Director of Engineering Services regarding the sale of the YMCA Building at Rose Avenue; and WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City offer this building for sale to the highest bidder with preference given to bidders agreeing to preserve the building, and that the successful bidder be allowed to purchase a sewer connection if the building is relocated within the City served by the Sunol sewage treatment plant. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Instructs staff to offer the YMCA Building at 287 Rose Avenue for sale to the highest bidder with preference given to bidders agreeing to preserve the building. Section 2. Reserves the right to refuse any or all bids. Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
