CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 77-317 INITIATING PROPOSED CHANGES TO "ALLOWED" AND "CONDITIONALLY" ALLOWED USES IN THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT WHEREAS, as a result of the rezoning of the property located at the southwest corner of the intersection of Main Street and Bernal Avenue the City Council requested that the uses in the C-C (Central Coranercial) District be studied; and WHEREAS, in analyzing the potential changes to the allowed and conditionally allowed uses in the C-C District, it was found to be necessary that certain changes should also be made to the other five commercial zoning districts in the City; and WHEREAS, a draft study proposing changes to Pleasanton's commercial district was prepared; and WHEREAS , the main basis for the uses as proposed, are the Special Purposes of the commercial districts as set forth in Sections 2-7.01 to 2-7.06 of the Ordinance Code; and WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of November 29, 1977 received and reviewed a report and attachments dated November 18, 1977, from the Director of Planning and Community Development regarding the proposed changes; and WHEREAS, said report is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Initiates a zoning code amendment to Section 2-7.08a (Permitted and Conditional Uses) Article 8 (Commercial Districts). Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON NOVEMBER 29, 1977, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, LeClaire, Mercer, NOES: Councilmember Herlihy ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None and Mayor Philcox
