CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-315 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE GENERAL PLAN <br />TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF A 3.8 ACRE PARCEL <br />OWNED BY HOLLY SUGAR CORPORATION (GP-77-5) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Holly Sugar Corporation has requested that the City of <br />Pleasanton General Plan be amended to change the land use <br />designation of a 3.8-acre parcel of land located along the <br />west side of the Southern Pacific Railroad, beginning at <br />the intersection of Santa Rita Road and the Southern Pacific <br />Railroad (nearSutter Gate Avenue),and extending about <br />1,500 feet south, from "Open Space-Public Health and Safety" <br />to "General and Limited Industrial;" and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission at its meeting of November 9, 1977 <br />considered GP-77-5, together with Negative Declarations on <br />said proposed amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission recommended that the General Plan <br />be amended to change land use designation for this parcel; <br />and <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of November 29, 1977, re- <br />viewed a report dated November 18, 197L together with attach- <br />ments from the Director of Planning, regarding the proposed <br />General Plan amendment; and <br /> <br />the City Council by Resolution No. 77-314 determined that <br />a Negative Declaration was appropriate for the proposed <br />General Plan Amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council held a public hearing with respect to the <br />General Plan amendment at which time any member of the <br />public was offered the opportunity to address the City <br />Council on said amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after the close of the public hearing the City Council <br />deliberated upon the proposed amendment considering the <br />information set forth in the staff reports of November 18,1977, <br />and attachments thereto, as well as the information con- <br />tained in the initial study leading to the Negative <br />Declaration for said project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council approves an amendment to the General <br /> Plan, adopted on February 9, 1976, by Resolution No. 76-26, <br /> to change the land use designation of a 3.8 acre parcel of <br /> land located along the west side of the Southern Pacific <br /> Railroad, beginning at the intersection of Santa Rita <br /> Road and the Southern Pacific Railroad track (near Sutter <br /> Gate Avenue), and extending about 1,500 feet south, from <br /> <br /> <br />
